This farm benefits from the volcanic ash descended from neighbouring Mt Ruapehu’s past eruptions. The resulting allophanic soil is rich in nutrients and promotes strong growth. Our winter carrot and potato crops thrive in the cool climate and at an altitude of 800m, they also benefit from the free draining soil.
